NewSat opened the gates to its Baywater, Perth Teleport for a Satellite Seminar and Teleport Tour in April, for customers and shareholders to experience NewSat's unique-to-Australia Teleport infrastructure.

Guests met NewSat’s CEO Adrian Ballintine and the NewSat team and toured NewSat’s Perth Teleport antennas and Network Operations Centre.

Over lunch, guests heard Adrian Ballintine discuss the importance of satellite communications, the increased demand for satellite communications and the Jabiru Satellite Program. While special guest speaker Professor Andrew Dempster, Director of the Australian Centre for Space Engineering and Research, spoke of the value of satellites and space assets for Australia and the importance of earth observation satellites to assist disaster planning and response.
