The Pacific Telecommunications Council was held in Honolulu in January this year. NewSat's Mike Kenneally spoke to the conference about the advantages high-throughput satellites will deliver and how the advent of these satellites are changing and shaping the satellite industry.Ka- and Ku-band satellites are able to significantly increase capacity and cut cost per bit which will not only change the satellite landscape but also the terrestrial broadband market.
