NewSat’s Jabiru-5 satellite will deliver high-powered Ka-band coverage over Central, North and South America, as well as Western Africa and the Atlantic Ocean. Jabiru-5’s 6 GHz of capacity will meet the large bandwidth demands from resources, government and carrier-grade telecommunications markets in Latin America’s high growth regions.

COVERAGE TO SATISFY EMERGING DEMAND

Jabiru-5’s high-powered capacity will provide coverage from the southern tip of South America, up to Canada and across the Atlantic Ocean to the West Coast of Africa. Jabiru-5 will satisfy the emerging demand from oil, gas, mining, government and carrier-grade telecommunications markets for high bandwidth satellite capacity, from the next generation of resource rich countries.

HIGH-INTENSITY KA-BAND SPOT BEAMS

Jabiru-5’s Ka-band payload will deliver over 6 GHz of high-powered capacity, through fixed and steerable high intensity spot beams. This will enable the use of small end-user antennas and extend capacity into high demand regions to support evolving customer requirements. Along with Ka-band’s ability to deliver higher bandwidths and speeds, Jabiru-5 will provide a more cost-effective solution when supporting large bandwidth applications and high growth markets.
