The LinkStar VoIP pool

The LinkStar VoIP pool is an amount of bandwidth reserved by NewSat for VoIP traffic. LinkStar customers on contended plans or CIR customers not wishing to accommodate the VoIP traffic within their data service may subscribe to the LinkStar VoIP pool.

Being a pooled resource, customers save by not having to pay for a permanent assignment of bandwidth for their VoIP traffic. The VoIP pool bandwidth is additional bandwidth above and beyond the customers selected data plan, so general internet usage will not affect your voice calls.
