Wireless Backhaul

Wireless area networks (WIFI) are ideal for remote locations. NewSat uses breakthrough satellite technology to connect otherwise isolated locations with fast and reliable wireless Internet services. This evolution has seen remote and rural towns now connect to the rest of the world. This can be seen by taking a look at one of NewSat’s projects in the Kimberly Region.
Key advantages:
- High speed wireless Internet
Kimberley Region receives access to wireless internet for the first time
The ease and convenience of high-speed Internet is a service us city dwellers have come to rely on. However, until recently, Internet access was non-existent in remote Western Australia.
In 2008, NewSat opened the communications gateway for hundreds of rural dwellers. For the first time, the geographical barriers to technology were over-turned by high-speed wireless Internet via satellite to 16 communities across the Kimberley.
