2012 World Teleport Awards for Excellence

The biggest week in the satellite industry’s annual calendar took place in Washington DC from the 12th – 15th March at the 31st annual SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition. One of the main events at SATELLITE 2012 was the World Teleport Association’s Awards for Excellence. The awards are presented each year to organisations and individuals in the teleport industry whose achievements have been deemed exceptional by the international trade association and its awards committees, made up of industry members from across the globe.

Robert Bell’s four forecasts for the future of satellite communications

Robert Bell has over 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is currently Executive Director of the World Teleport Association (WTA). Robert spoke at NewSat’s Satellite Seminar held at its South Australian Teleport in late 2011 and provided some in-depth insights into the global satellite industry, presenting four forecasts for the future of satellite communications.
